BRYAN WILSON – 02.06.2024

After helping the Pacific Division win their second straight All-Star Classic, the Wranglers’ All-Star’s shared their thoughts about the event.

MATT CORONATO ON HIS FIRST ALL-STAR EXPERIENCE:

“It was a lot of fun. We had a good group… started off with two ties but we made the push late and it was a lot of fun.”

ON HEAD COACH TRENT CULL:

“He did a great job, made a couple great decisions having guys out there at the right time, so a lot of credit to him on the win.”

DUSTIN WOLF ON THE EVENT:

“It’s awesome, the crowd is electric and obviously it was good for the Pacific Division to win on the west coast.

These are one-of-a-kind events to take part in … super happy to be here.”

ON THE WIN:

“It really just came down to the grit and the grind… we had a pretty (cold) start, not a whole lot of goals going in at either end, and it came down to one game and we ended up putting one more in the net than they did.”

COACH CULL ON COACHING THE PACIFIC BENCH:

“It was exciting, we were pulling goalies and getting late goals and some shootout action, so it was awesome.”

ON HIS FIRST AHL ALL-STAR EXPERIENCE:

“It was just fun. I’m very lucky to be here because of the team that I coach and then to come here and coach the Pacific group, the kids were great, it was a pleasure to hang out with them and kind of just let your hair down a little bit with them.

I thought they cranked it up a little a bit in the last game, they were excited, and they wanted to win, so it was pretty cool to coach.”

ON THE PERFORMANCE FROM CORONATO:

“Matty got a big goal in the shootout, I thought that was awesome.”

ON WOLF:

“He’s a pleasure to coach and he’s a competitive guy… you could see Wolfie was dialled in, he wanted to play, and he wanted to win this again.”

ON WINNING THE ALL-STAR CLASSIC:

“I love winning, doesn’t matter what it is, so I’m happy about it.”
