The Wranglers are in California this week for a two-game set against the Ontario Reign on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7.
The Matchup
This series marks the final leg of the Wranglers 10-game road trip.
They roll into Ontario after splitting their most recent back-to-back in Abbotsford, earning a 3-2 win on Dec. 2 before falling 2-1 in a shootout on Dec. 3.
Those points nudged Calgary into third place in the Pacific Division with an 11-8-2-1 record.
With the road trip winding down, the Wranglers aim to finish strong and bring home a few more points.
The teams last clashed in Calgary on Nov. 11 and 12, where the Wranglers dropped the opener 5-1 but bounced back with a 3–2 victory the following night.
Last season, the Reign held the edge in the series, with Calgary going 2-3-2-1 overall.
Hunter Brzustewicz continues to make an impact, leading all Wranglers defencemen with 12 points.
He added an assist on Calgary’s lone goal on Dec. 3.

“In practice, we’ve been working on being more predictable and connected on the breakout,” said Brzustewicz Friday. “We want to be predictable for one another and keep it simple.”
The Other Side
Ontario sits just two points behind the Wranglers in the Pacific standings, holding fourth place with 23 points.
They enter the series following a 4-1 loss to the Texas Stars on Nov. 30, a setback that ended their three-game winning streak to close out November.
Eyes will be on newly-acquired forward Nikita Alexandrov, set to make his Reign debut after being acquired in a Dec. 2 trade involving the LA Kings and St. Louis Blues.
Alexandrov arrives from the Springfield Thunderbirds, where he posted 14 points (3G, 11A) in 18 games.
