The Matchup

After a challenging road stretch, the Wranglers return home looking to reset and regain momentum.

Calgary is coming off a 5-2 loss to Coachella Valley on March 25, a game that started on a positive note.

Dryden Hunt opened the scoring early, and Nick Cicek restored the Wranglers’ lead in the second period after the Firebirds evened things up.

Coachella Valley, however, responded with three unanswered goals and added two more in the third period, including an empty-netter, to secure the win.

Back on home ice, Calgary will aim to bounce back and deliver in front of their fans.

The Eagles currently lead the season series 3-1, but the Wranglers will look to build off their last meeting, a 3-2 overtime victory on Jan. 1.

In that game, Hunt led the charge with a goal and two assists, including the overtime winner.

Hunt continues to be a driving force for Calgary, leading the team with 52 points in 44 games (17G, 35A).

He has recorded three points in his last two games and 13 points over his past 12 outings, including a goal and an assist on March 22 in San Diego.

The Other Side

Colorado enters the matchup looking to rebound after dropping both games of a doubleheader against Coachella Valley.

The Eagles have just one win in their last five contests.

Despite the recent skid, Colorado remains second in the Pacific Division with 82 points, sitting just three back of the first-place Ontario Reign.

A division title would secure a first-round bye in the playoffs, adding extra motivation down the stretch.

Jayson Megna has been a key contributor, ranking second on the team in scoring with 48 points.

He is coming off a strong performance on March 22, where he recorded two goals against the Firebirds.
