Wranglers Look to Bounce Back in Rematch with Roadrunners

The Wranglers will be back on the hunt for their first win of the season after a tough 5-4 overtime loss to the Tucson Roadrunners on Oct.18.

Despite a strong late-game push, the Wranglers fell short, but their fightback has set the stage for an exciting rematch.

Kerins Makes History, Wranglers Fall in OT to Tucson

The Matchup
Matvei Gridin wasted no time in making an impact, scoring just 37 seconds into the game, while Rory Kerins etched his name in Wranglers history by breaking the franchise’s all-time point record.

Kerins also netted a clutch power play goal late to force overtime, showing his knack for the big moment.

The Wranglers’ late surge highlighted their resilience, but the team will be looking for a full 60-minute effort this time around.

The Other Side
Tucson came out strong in the first game of the doubleheader, capitalizing on an early lead and holding off Calgary’s comeback.

Roadrunner veteran Cameron Hebig, who posted 47 points in 67 games last season, has continued his solid form with four points in three games.

Tucson’s power play struggled on Saturday, going 0-for-4, and could not hold onto their 4-1 lead that they had heading into the third period.
