The Matchup
Best of the West.
Calgary hosts the Abbotsford Canucks for a double header beginning on Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Wranglers return to the ice looking to bounce back after a 4-2 setback to the San Jose Barracuda at the Saddledome on Feb. 25.
San Jose struck early, building a 2-0 lead before the first intermission and forcing Calgary to chase the game.
The Wranglers answered in the second period with a strong push.
Aydar Suniev opened the scoring on the power play and Ryan Chyzowski wasted no time making an impact at the AHL level, netting his first goal in a Wranglers uniform in his team debut to even the score at 2-2.

Chyzowski, recently recalled from the Rapid City Rush, has been productive in the 2025-26 season, posting  37 points (22G, 15A) in 49 games.
The Barracuda regained the lead soon after Calgary’s equalizer and added an insurance marker in the third period to secure the win. Despite a determined push and contributions throughout the lineup, the Wranglers couldn’t complete the comeback.
Calgary now hits the midpoint of their four-game current homestand with valuable points still up for grabs.
The Other Side
The Abbotsford Canucks arrive eager to snap a three-game slide after dropping back-to-back contests to the Henderson Silver Knights on Feb. 20 (6-3) and Feb. 21 (4-3).
Ty Mueller opened the scoring in the Feb. 21 matchup and continues to pace Abbotsford offensively with 28 points on the season.
The Canucks sit 10th in the Pacific Division with 42 points, trailing ninth-place the Wranglers by eight..
