It’s a quick turnaround for the Wranglers, who shift their focus from a thrilling overtime victory on Jan. 1 to their next challenge against the Tucson Roadrunners on Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. MT.
The Matchup
Calgary enters Friday’s contest riding the high of a 3-2 overtime win over the Pacific Division-leading Colorado Eagles.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak where all had gone beyond regulation.
With momentum back on their side, the Wranglers will look to build off that performance as they continue their season series with Tucson.
Familiarity won’t be an issue, with the pair meeting already four times this season, with Tucson leading in the series.
The Roadrunners hold the most recent edge, having swept a two-game set against Calgary on Dec. 27 and 28 by scores of 5-2 and 3-2.
Dryden Hunt played the hero in Thursday’s win, recording two assists before sealing the game with the overtime winner.

The Other Side
Tucson enters the matchup sitting ninth in the Pacific Division with 29 points.
The Roadrunners are coming off a tough 4-3 loss to the San Diego Gulls on Dec. 31, a game in which they surrendered a 3-0 lead heading into the third period.
Cameron Hebig has been a bright spot for Tucson, riding a three-game point streak and collecting 12 points over his last nine outings.
He’s also made his presence felt against Calgary, registering an assist in each of the recent meetings between the two teams.
Don’t Miss the Action
The Wranglers look to keep their momentum rolling as they renew their rivalry with the Roadrunners at home.
