About the Game

The Wranglers will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 2001 Saint John Flames Calder Cup championship with special throwback jerseys and themed nights on March 13 and 15 when they host the Manitoba Moose at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The commemorative jerseys feature the classic fire-breathing dragon logo worn by the Saint John Flames from 1993 to 2003, honouring the franchise’s championship legacy.

The Matchup

The Wranglers return home for a two-game set against the Central Division’s Manitoba Moose.

With 15 games remaining in the regular season, Calgary has two meetings left with Manitoba as the final push continues.

The Wranglers enter the series following a pair of road losses to the Coachella Valley Firebirds on March 7 (4-2) and March 8 (4-1).

Forward Brennan Othmann made his Wranglers debut during the trip to Coachella Valley, recording an assist and making an immediate impact.

“I was excited to get that phone call, I’m excited to be here, I’m happy to start getting working,” said Othmann following Thursday’s practice.

The last time the two teams met was Feb. 14 and Feb. 16, when the clubs split their series.

Calgary earned a 3-2 shootout victory in the most recent matchup.

The Other Side

The Moose enter the series after having their three-game winning streak snapped by the Abbotsford Canucks on March 11 (4-1).

Manitoba currently sits third in the Central Division with 60 points and a 27-20-5-1 record this season.

Forward Mason Shaw leads the team with 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) in 52 games, including three points in his last five games.
