The Matchup
This marks the second game of a doubleheader against the Eagles after a tough 6-5 overtime loss on Dec. 30.
The Wranglers stormed back with a commanding second period to erase a deficit, but Colorado answered in the third to force overtime after trailing 5-3.
William Stromgren was a standout in Tuesday night’s matchup, recording two goals and an assist to reach the 100-point milestone in his AHL career.
“Everybody was in the right place at the right time, helping and supporting each other, making it easy for everyone to click and get everything going,” said Stromgren when asked about his top line generating nine points in the second period.

New year, new game.
The Wranglers will look to build off the positives from their Dec. 30 performance while focusing on finishing strong.
“We gotta make sure we keep our foot on the gas, and we gotta do a better job of closing those out,” explained Head Coach Brett Sutter when asked about what mentality the team will be looking to carry into the first game of 2026.
The Other Side
With the victory, the Eagles extended their winning streak to four games and sit at 41 points, at the top of the Pacific Division.
Colorado currently holds a 3-0 season series lead over the Wranglers.
Jack Ahcan is a player to watch for the Eagles after posting two assists and scoring the game-winning goal in overtime.
He has 19 points in 20 games, 15 of those assists.
