The Matchup

The Wranglers aim to split the series tonight, and they know it’ll take a full 60-minute effort.

“At the end of the day it comes down to how hard we’re willing to battle,” said Head Coach Brett Sutter. “Learn from it and turn the page. They’re a big, heavy team that competes hard.

“We learned that the hard way tonight, and we’ll have to turn the page quick.”

Dryden Hunt netted Calgary’s lone goal on Tuesday night, assisted by Rory Kerins.

The duo continues to lead the way offensively, Kerins with 14 points (5G, 9A) and Hunt close behind with 12 points (5G, 7A).

Following the game, Kerins emphasized the need for consistency:

“We’ve got to find a way to keep our energy up all game,” he said. “Keep our structure for the full 60 minutes, not just the first half … It’s about doubling down on what we believe in, getting bodies and shots to the net. You can say it’ll eventually come, but at some point you’ve got to do it.”

The Other Side

With Tuesday’s win, the Reign sit second in the Pacific Division with an 8-4-1 record.

Goaltender Pheonix Copley was sharp in the previous matchup, stopping 28 Calgary shots. The veteran netminder enters Wednesday’s tilt with a 3.90 goals-against average and an .865 save percentage.
