Night Two of the Double-Header against the Abbotsford Canucks

The Matchup

The Wranglers return for Game 2 of their double-header against the Abbotsford Canucks after grinding out a 3-2 victory last night.

Both teams traded quality chances throughout the matchup, but Calgary’s late push sealed the win.

Despite being outshot 36-23, the Wranglers held strong.

Abbotsford capitalized on one of their two powerplay opportunities, with Ben MacEachern finding the back of the net.

Still, Calgary’s momentum, and their perfect 3-0 record against the Canucks this season, remains intact.

Ivan Prosvetov delivered a stellar performance, making highlight-reel saves that kept Calgary in control, before exiting the game with an injury late in the frame.

All eyes now shift to Owen Say, who is expected to take the crease tonight.

The Other Side

The Canucks continue to search for consistency, entering tonight’s matchup with a 4-14-1-2 record.

MacEachern remains a key bright spot.

Signed by Vancouver as a free agent on July 1, 2025, the veteran forward posted 32 points in 40 games last season with the Springfield Thunderbirds and is the player to watch heading into Game 2.
