The Wranglers fell 3-2 in overtime to Abbotsford at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, with Rory Kerins and Etienne Morin finding the back of the net for Calgary.
The hosts struck first in the first frame when Kerins opened the scoring, throwing a big hit behind the net and then snagging a turnover right in front of the net, threading it past Canucks netminder Jiri Patera to give the Wranglers early jump.

Abbotsford pushed back in the second.
Nick Poisson beat Owen Say to level the game before Mackenzie Eachern added another, swinging the momentum and giving the visitors a 2-1 edge through 40 minutes.
Calgary showed plenty of push in the third and were rewarded when Morin drew the Wranglers even.

The defenceman threw a puck on net that trickled through Patera, marking the first professional goal of his career, with Stromgren picking up the helper.
Overtime tilted the visitors way, with Jonathan Lekkerimaki pocketing the winner to seal the extra-point for Abbotsford, handing the Wranglers a hard-fought loss despite a strong response on home ice.
